The International Conference on Alevi Studies I: Alevi Education will be held on 26–27 June 2026 in Vienna. The conference is organised by Alevitisch-Theologische Studien at the University of Vienna.
The event will take place at the Dekanatssitzungssaal, Faculty of Catholic Theology, University of Vienna, Universitätsring 1, Staircase 8, 2nd floor, 1010 Vienna.
Based on the session titles in the programme, the conference will address key topics including religious education in Europe and Türkiye, Alevi education in the modern era, curriculum and course materials, pedagogical approaches, legal foundations, and the future of Alevi religious education in Europe and Türkiye.
The conference aims to contribute to current academic discussions on Alevi education, Alevi religious pedagogy, and the institutional development of Alevi Studies in European and transnational contexts.
