The Department of Alevi-Theological Studies at University of Vienna invites interested scholars, students, and members of the public to a lecture by Nail Elhan (Hitit University, Department of International Relations).

Titled “Can the Margins Speak? The Alevi Journals Project and the Making of an Alternative Archive,” the lecture will examine Alevi periodicals as alternative archives and explore how marginalized communities produce, preserve, and circulate knowledge outside dominant institutional frameworks. Drawing on the Alevi Journals Project, the presentation will address questions of archival production, representation, memory, and the documentation of Alevi intellectual and cultural histories.
