This public event will explore the historical development of Alevi music and its place within Alevi religious, cultural, and social life. Ethnomusicologist Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Güngör will discuss the evolution of Alevi musical traditions, focusing on their relationship to ritual practice, oral transmission, collective memory, and identity formation.
